My name is Yvonne Tochterman and I am the owner and operator of BEST SPOT IN TOWN – IN HOME PET CARE. I have been servicing the Harrisburg west shore area since 1996, including Mechanicsburg, Dillsburg and Camp Hill.  When I first started my business, pet sitting was a novel idea and there were very few pet sitters servicing the Harrisburg area.  Within a few years, the idea of dog sitting / cat sitting emerged as a popular alternative to kenneling.

After more than twenty years in business, I still firmly believe that when an animal is able to remain in its home while their owner is away, their routine is preserved and they are much happier and experience far less stress.  I have owned dogs, cats, fish, hamsters and rabbits and all of the above were much happier staying at home during those brief times in which my family was away.  I would expect no less for someone else’s pets, which is why I enjoy caring for animals so much.
